Like many avid shoppers, I spent hours sifting through thousands of doorbusters and discounts this Cyber Weekend — mostly because it's my job as a senior shopping reporter, but also because I'm the type of person who gets a rush off finding a worthwhile deal on something I've been pining for. And when I wasn't price-checking laptops or rounding up cheap unlocked phones, I was hunting for my Black Friday white whale: a $200 Shark FlexStyle.
The Coanda-powered multi-styler is Mashable's No. 1 dupe for the Dyson Airwrap, and according to my comrade Bethany Allard (who's tested both devices), it actually manages to outperform its $600 muse in some ways; it has a wide variety of attachments and turns into a hair dryer with a swivel of its base. The FlexStyle normally retails for $279.99 to $299.99, depending on how you bundle it with its accessories, and its lowest price in the lead-up to the holidays was $239.99. I figured it would get even cheaper for Black Friday, but no dice.

New for the 2023 holiday season, Best Buy Drops is an app-exclusive program that aims to give shoppers a chance to score limited-time deals and restocks on popular products. (Past Drops have featured the Apple Watch Ultra 2, the PlayStation 5 Marvel’s Spider-Man 2console covers, and a GoPro Hero 11 Black bundle.) You can think of it as Best Buy's version of the invite-only deals Amazon offered for its Prime Day events this year.
To snag the FlexStyle for $199.99 today, you'll need to take the following steps:
Download the Best Buy mobile app (available for iOS and Android).
Tap on the "Drops" arrow icon in the middle of the lower navigation bar.
Click the card for the FlexStyle (which should be at the very top under "Live Drops") to get directed to its listing, where you can add it to your cart.
